A breath of Artistic Air has blown in from San Miguel de Allende.

It is a great pleasure to write about all the exciting progress for expanding our cultural experience in Chacala, Nayarit. We now have links to the artistic capital of the colonial highlands of Mexico: San Miguel de Allende, a place that exudes creativity and roots its visitors in the rich historical tapestry of Mexico.

We have some hardcore volunteers working to develop cultural exchange and encourage artistic performance in our community. A new member of the Committee of the Music and Arts Festival is Rosario Otero who has recently moved to Chacala from San Miguel de Allende, Guanajuato. With many years working in the arts and in publicity, she is a great addition to the team.

Last week Rosario arranged a series of meetings in San Miguel with cultural event leaders, such as Arq. Alberto Lenz, the Director of the Institute for Fine Arts (Instituto de Bellas Artes), Susan Page & Maia Williams who head up the San MiguelWriters Conference, Helenmarie Corcoran from the San Miguel Chamber Music Festival &, last but by no means least, Sarah Hoch, Founder of the Guanajuato International Film Festival. How’s that for name dropping?!
